OBEY RIVER GROTTO
BEFORE
AFTER
Obey River Grotto's first
attempt at cleaning up
where Tennessee highway
85 crosses the Obey River
Gorge, took place May
10,2008. (See pics below)
The bridge has been
grossly littered for many
years. Much more work is
needed, but this was a
good start.
Thanks to Brent Smith,
Jeff Garrett, and Marc
Smith (who also provided
the truck).
Future cleanups will be
posted here when they
take place. Check back,
cause any help would be
greatly appreciated.

November 1, 2008 The
Obey River Grotto met
between 8 and 9am at the
Bridge on 85 over the
Obey River Gorge.
It seems someone during
the summer had thrown
several items (a couple of
console tv's, a computer
monitor, vcrs, toys and
numerous other items) off
of the middle of the bridge
into the river bed.
The 5 of us, (Danielle
Poore, Brent Smith, Jeff
Garrett, Marc Smith, and
Angela Rector) removed
the mess from the river
bed as well as a mound of
wet carpet and padding
along with various other
items from the pull off on
the east side of the bridge.
Thanks to all who
participated.
